Transformation Ideas:
A couple of Transformation Drawings I did on paper. Below I wanted t go for a interesting angle, and thought about doing the drawing in a low angle shot. I thought about a high angle shot, but I thought it would take away from the scary beast look.

The bottom drawing is what I developed a bit further. But the shots change from Low to High Angle which may not be possible for this shot.
One idea was that I could have Blythe being turned back into a human again. Then I can use warm colours, and sunny rays and light in her transformation.

Such as these examples, the lights and he colours all give off a positive feeling. They both have nice and dramatic effects, such as Beauty and the Beast has "fireworks" falling around him. And Brother Bear has animal spirits,
But since I have little information about her transformation back to human in her story, I think I'll leave this concept. It's better to do something I'm more confident in and know more about, as I don't want to alter Blythe's story.
In this sequence, we have a almost full shot of Blythe, The shadows come from all the corners off screen, like a 'caving in' effect. They swirl around her, and she transforms into a beast in the middle, her transformation visible to the viewer. In zooms in while she is changing, so once she is finished she can dramatically open her eyes and stare right into the camera.
The caving in effect is to put a emphasis on her being 'attacked' by having a curse put on her. Too make her seem frightened and submissive. But once changed, her scared look disappears with the strong glowing eye contact at the end.
I like the close up on the eyes at the end, it's very dramatic, and glowing eyes is a cool effect. I don't like the shadows coming in out of nowhere with no context, though it's a good way of showing how the curse was forced upon her.
Also showing the transformation through the shadow demons would be very tricky and probably unnecessary.
This one starts off with a mid shot of Blythe reaching out and looking frightened. The Shadows once again come off screen and wrapping around her arm, leaving behind a beasts arm. It moves up her arm and around her body faster, transforming her as it goes. But it's really fast around the body, it disappears suddenly as if Blythe broke free as she roars. Its a dramatic shot, leaving her roaring like a actual beast.
I felt as through I only had enough time to slowly transform the arm, to give a feel of the transformation before the rest becomes a blur. Again, I think the shadows come out of nowhere is too out of context though their purpose should be clear.

For one of my more final concepts I wish to develop more, I have the camera looking over Blythe's shoulder as she looks at the cursed box. The shadows fly out of the box and surround her as she turns and faces the camera. The shadows fly around her, with on her hand and hair visible. The hair, because it stays the same, and the hand sticking out to show the transformation as it turns into a beasts hand. As the shadows clear, the beasts stands, which glowing threatening eye. A extra bit I'd like to add if I have enough time, It a very quick movement where Blythe lunges at the screen with a open jaw, leaving the camera dark.
